The enchanting village of
Mijas is situated in the lowlands of the Sierra de Mijas
mountain range and is surrounded by pine forest, and has many
wonderful properties both houses and villas.
Mijas lies just west of Malaga and is split into two distinct
areas. Mijas Pueblo is the whitewashed village standing high up
the mountain with spectacular views over the Mediterranean
whilst Mijas Costa refers to the coastal resort down the
mountain.
The village is a web of narrow cobbled streets complete with
terraces overflowing with geraniums, red tile roofs and the
occasional chirping songbird.
La Cala enjoys long beaches of
soft golden sand. While La Cala has maintained a level of the
real Spain it has also taken on, in a small way, something of
an international flavour.
